  • Self Regulation/Emotion Control

    Many students struggle to self-regulate and control their emotions, often impacting their relationships and enjoyment of their daily life. In this session, children will learn to label their emotions, increase their emotion vocabulary and recognize their body cues, while trying out and collecting different tools to manage these big feelings.

  • Mindfulness

    There is a lot going on in the world for children. They are often over-thinking about what happened in the past or planning something for the future, rather than being in the present. In this session, children will practice tools such as breathing exercises, yoga, gratitude, progressive muscle techniques, guided imagery and meditation to create a calm that helps them be more mindful in their everyday life.

  • Anger Management

    Many children need help managing their anger in all settings; the classroom, at home and with friends. Wherever it shows up, children need tools to manage their frustrations. During this session, children will learn strategies to identify, label and recognize these emotions, while trying out and collecting different tools to manage these big feelings.

  • Anxiety Management

    Everyone worries at times, but when anxiety shows up too often, it can take a toll on our bodies, our relationships and our well-being. In this session, children will learn the science behind our brains and anxiety. They will identify triggers and recognize where these emotions show up in the body. Children will learn a variety of tools and coping strategies to help calm their brain and their body.

  • Friendship Skills

    Research shows us that having friends increases a human’s sense of belonging and purpose, boosts happiness and reduces stress. But making and maintaining friendships can be challenging! During this session, students will learn that to make good friends, you must be a good friend! Children will learn how to communicate, play with and resolve conflict with others.

  • Self Confidence/Growth Mindset

    All children get to a stage in their development, when they start to notice similarities and differences between themselves and their peers. This developmental process can take a toll on a child’s self-confidence. In this session, students will celebrate their strengths and recognize their weaknesses. They will acquire tools to help them reframe their thinking from “I can’t” to “I can’t….yet!” and “I will!”

  • Worry Management

    Everyone worries at times, but when worry shows up too often, it can take a toll on our bodies, our relationships and our well-being. In this session, children will learn the science behind our brains and the feeling of worry. They will increase their emotional vocabulary around their worries, identify triggers and recognize where these emotions show up in the body. Children will learn a variety of tools, self-talk and coping strategies to help calm their brain and their body.

  • One-On-One Tutoring

    Some students feel more comfortable in an individual setting rather than a small group. Families may feel their child needs to focus on a few of the skills listed above. Your child’s teacher will work with you to design a 5-week session catered to your child’s needs.
